Follow @hijingouk Britain loves playing bingo, and we love playing bingo, but bingo clubs aren’t necessarily the first destination on most people’s minds when going out for an amazing experience. We were tempted to leverage the long history of bingo, and maybe call the club ‘clickety click’ or something like that, and have lots of old bingo memorabilia lying around. But the warm history of bingo could be an albatross around our neck. We didn’t want to take people to the past, we wanted to bring them to the future. Our interest in bringing technology and future thinking into the brand extends even into the food and drink, our GM and head of concept development even travelled to Japan to get the very latest developments in cocktails and bring them back to Hijingo. We also needed this feeling of being forward looking to permeate throughout the visual identity of the brand, so had to team up not with a regular hospitality branding agency but someone with experience in high end fashion and major international brands like CK and Louboutin.
