Today's At-Home Workout 💪💪 (dumbbells needed)

Killer Total Body Dumbbell Workout (only 4 exercises, works everything!) Do one set of each each exercise consecutively without letting go of the dumbbells. Then set dumbbells down and rest 30-60 seconds.  Then repeat for 3 more rounds. (4 rounds total)

Note: the video is only a couple reps of each. The actual reps are listed below

Sit-ups with a Shoulder Press 15 reps

Jump Squats 15 reps

Push-ups with hands on Dumbbells 15 reps

Rows (with both arms) 20 reps

Fruit and Fibre❤️

Here’s lunch from yesterday following on from my chocolate and banana bagel. I was still quite full so just had some fruit and cucumber with humous.

Also I’m trying to make sure I hit my 25g target of fibre everyday as I’ve realised I’ve not been having enough and it’s effecting my body iygm😕 this was 9g of fibre 🥳

Hey there, another day, another video.

This is my cardio morning routine. It is challenging and be prepared to sweat...a lot. I used some specific equipemnt (e.g. the bike and the pull-up bar) but the exercises can be adapted if you don't have them, enabling yoh  to achieve  the same results. DM me for more information.

Something that took me completely out of my comfort zone was doing Top Model South Africa Body of the year... But instead of letting fear get the most of me I took the step and made it a commitment. 
Along the way doubtful thoughts came but I had a great support system. At the end I was rewarded for going all in by winning this competition. 
My point is, whatever you are facing today can either get you under or lift you to new heights... I chose to fly! So can you!

1 - Focus on your food

One of the most important decisions you make each day is what to eat. Keep your nutrition simple. If your goal is to lose weight, create a small calorie deficit and focus on eating satiating foods to make dieting easier.

2 - Improve your sleep

Getting a good night’s slumber is more beneficial than a late night Netflix binge or another round of Candy Crush. Remind yourself that you’ll wake up with a clearer head, a better mood or better health.

3 - Make exercise a habit

You don’t need to start a workout program that requires you to workout 5x a week, you just need to start making time to exercise and actually doing it.

4 - Stick to a simple program
⠀
Keep your program basic and focus on making it specific to your goals. There are a lot of complex programs around but the best focus on doing the basic exercises well. You don’t need fancy equipment or complicated programs to make progress. Your bodyweight can work just fine.

5 - Apply progressive overload
⠀
As your body adapts to your training plan, it is important to keep ensuring workouts get harder to make progress. Keep a log of your previous workouts, refer back to them before you exercise again and make a small improvement to see the best results.

6 - Make a permanent change

By changing bad habits one by one you’ll have much more success in making a real long lasting change that is sustainable, enjoyable and realistic. The most important thing for fitness is adherence and consistency.

Chocolate and banana protein mashup😋

So the presentation could be better but this was yesterday brunch, higher calorie but I ‘broke my fast’ at 11:30 so I was hungry. 
I’ve managed to master a protein hot chocolate, by simply warming up the milk first then adding the protein. It’s so weird what happens to the protein when it’s warmed up😖 I can’t make these a habit though because I don’t like drinking my calories!!

Wanted to touch on something after a comment I received, from someone claiming there where only 3 body type of body categories : ectomorph, mesomorph or endomorph... but what triggered me the most is that she claimed knowing the human body 😅 How can you when you putting people in boxes, believing in an oversimplification system.. human body is way more complex than classify body types into 3 classes. Every one of the seven billion people on earth has a different body type.
On top of that your body is not “fixed”, you can change, evolve, ...

It’s such a poor way of looking at how the human body works or how it can put on muscle... .
👉🏼First, there is no single person who is adequately described by one of these classifications.

👉🏼Second, the popular link between body type and metabolism is FALSE. While there are differences in the MBR is the result of muscles, all musculature (if called like this) and the people level of activity,  nothing to deal with the body type itself.

The recipe for building muscles has always been and it’s the SAME for everyone:
.
✅Good nutrition
.
✅Regular exercise that challenges right muscle
.
✅Sufficient sleep/rest .
.
Yes, everybody can change their BMR, that depend on their weight, muscle-to-fat ratio, physical and mental activity levels, their height, the type of foods they eat etc .

By restricting us to fixed types, it limits your perception of what you can achieve. Someone considered an ectomorph might think that it’s impossible for them to ever gain muscles. endomorph could believe that they can't lose weight, when, with a few lifestyle changes, there’s NO reason why they couldn’t... yes it’s easier to put yourself into a victime, but trust me, me & nobody else was born fit, and with lots of work, dedication right tools and scarify you can achieve anything. Haven’t thrown hands, knees, kicks and elbows in a long long time. I trained Like this religiously for years and absolutely love the fitness aspect of it and the coordination and confidence you build . The cardiovascular fitness you build during Muay Thai training is like none I I have ever felt before . Your body becomes strong, powerful and lean. It really does test what you are made of and in doing so it  and moulds you into something else . Have to say these free standing bags are pretty versatile and good for Muay Thai at home . Now for some much needed yoga tomorrow .
