ʜᴇʟʟᴏ ʙᴇᴀᴜᴛɪғᴜʟ sᴏᴜʟs♥️ What’s that saying...think before you speak?! Words have POWER. Sometimes we can forget how powerful they can actually be and it’s easy to say the first thing that comes to mind. I can almost guarantee that almost all of us have been bullied in some way, shape, or form; and just so we’re clear, bullying doesn’t always mean it’s coming from a past classmate. It could literally be from anybody, like from a stranger, your friend or even from your family. I would bet that most of us can think back to a time where someone said something that cut deep and stuck with us.
In my own experience, I had these two boys my freshman year of high school tell me I was the ugliest girl in class! LOL the nerve on some people (ps. I would laugh in their face if they told me that now)!!! I can almost guarantee that neither of them remember saying that to me, but their words were SO powerful, it stuck with me for YEARS. I mean... I can STILL think back to that moment, and this happened like 9 years ago! What they said was SO potent, it helped narrate the negative perception I had been telling to myself for many, many years. It took me a while to fully understand that the words I was telling myself are just as.. IF NOT MORE important to the ones other people had been saying to me.
My point is, is that I think we should always try to be mindful of how we choose to express ourselves, because you never know how our words may affect another being. Like I said before... WORDS ARE FREAKING POWERFUL!!! I think taking time to listen to who is speaking is key. And understand that it is OKAY to pause and collect your thoughts before just spewing out the first thing that comes to mind. It is also okay to tell someone that you don’t feel open to, and it’s not in your best interest to hear what they’re saying at this time!
Anyways, I hope that all makes sense. I’m sending everyone love, light and positive vibes!☀️ - 1 hour ago
