FRIENDS, PLEASE SHARE :) I have started a project making handmade cards for organizations and individuals who would benefit from receiving them during the COVID-19 crisis.
I am trying to direct myself as an artist to use my skills to help others, and lift the spirits of some of those people most effected during this time of isolation.
I posted about this last week and am posting this again because I would love to make this project enormous and reach as many people in need as possible. I have been reaching out to many organizations, elderly facilities, and assisted living facilities in the area.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions! If you know of any organization, facility or individuals that would appreciate card donations or have a loved one for whom this would brighten their day — please reach out to me. I only wish I could do more.
The cards pictured are two new sets of 5, I made for The Landing at Cape Elizabeth, an assisted living center in Maine and for Berlin Health & Rehabilitation Center in Vermont. Last week I made a post where I highlighted the cards I donated to The Miss Pink Organization for cancer patients who are undergoing treatment now and cannot see their families.
It is my hope that these cards bring some smiles to these brave people and help lift their spirits even a little bit. Positivity and kindness is so important now more than ever.
Stay safe and healthy. Keep your loved ones close. Together we rise.
I am a working professional artist. I mainly focus in the areas of painting and printmaking. If you are interested in seeing more of my art, please consider liking & following this Instagram and following my art page brookelambertprintmaker on Facebook. .
