Get back to nature with today's weekly task:
[insert drumroll here]
Anyone can have a green thumb and you don’t need much space either! There is soooo much children can learn from gardening:
❤️Responsibility – from caring for plants
🧡Understanding – as they learn about cause and effect (for example, plants die without water, weeds compete with plants)
💛Self-confidence – from achieving their goals and enjoying the food they have grown
💚Love of nature – a chance to learn about the outdoor environment in a safe and pleasant place
💙Reasoning and discovery – learning about the science of plants, animals, weather, the environment, nutrition and simple construction
💜Physical activity – doing something fun and productive
❤️Creativity – finding new and exciting ways to grow food
There are many ways you can grow seeds:
- You could find some seeds to plant (very hard at the moment!)
- Have a go at rooting cuttings in water!
- You can take the seeds out of your child’s favourite vegetable and try to plant it!
*some supermarket seeds won’t work so if you can try from organic food. I find that Pumpkins always work from the supermarket!
Hyper would love to see what you're growing at the moment! Send Hyper in your pictures <3
