When you’re just happy it’s Friday! I was kind of cranky yesterday and then I woke up today realizing I can choose where I put my focus. I opted for no headphones while walking the dog and then just took in the sights and sounds in our neighborhood. Had nice conversations with neighbors and people trimming trees, felt the cool air on my face as I walked our sweet rescue dog, saw her light up with every sniff and sound and just started feeling so grateful for my life. I think that’s really what we’re all after...being happy for no reason. Instead of waiting for a thing, a job, an accolade, a person to make us feel better, we can just get more present in this moment and feel good now.
