Should you eat before training?
I get asked this question a lot... And well, the answer is - it depends!!
❓Are you looking for more of a fat burning effect?
Then you may just be able to dig into those fat stores a little bit better when you train if you do so in a fasted state.
❓Are you training to perform?
Then yes, you should definitely eat beforehand! Your power output and maximum performance will be much greater if you have eaten before training than if you haven’t ingested anything!
So whilst you may burn more fat if you train on an empty stomach you may also burn more calories in total if you eat beforehand as you’ll be able to perform better in that session.
So what’s your goal? Fat burning or performance?
When it comes to yoga, try not to eat for at least a couple hours beforehand, so that your body doesn’t have to deal with digestion during your practise... Especially during those handstands 🤢😂 - 2 hours ago
