When people start changing their health habits, they forget to make a plan to begin learning the skills needed to enjoy these habits.

Let's take cooking for an examplem it is a SKILL and like any skill, it takes time and practice to get good at it. If you hate cooking because you don't know how to cook, then maybe try a couple of foundation cooking classes at your nearest cooking school. 
Or you can ask a friend to teach you while you both cook dinner together on Friday night, instead of going out to a restaurant.

Busy day? Or rather busy week?🙃
I know I’ve had a busy last couple of weeks, I’m exhausted by the end of the day and the last thing I want to do is go workout. But I always think to myself “What’s another 20-30 minutes?” I know I’ll kick myself in the morning if I don’t go do a workout even if it is just for 20 minutes. I know I’ll feel better mentally and physically. Take out all of my frustrations and anxieties from throughout the day and just leave them at the gym. Waking up feeling 10x better. 🤙🏼💪🏼

We all agreed that water is essential for our life and well-being. But, did you know that drinking too much water (overhydration) can be hazardous too? 💦

Drinking too much water can make the amount of water in your blood increased and lead to water intoxication. 🤔 This occurs when the amount of sodium and other electrolytes in your body become too diluted, which is a bad condition because sodium helps balance fluids between the inside and outside of cells. When sodium levels drop due to excess water consumption, fluids shifts from the outside to the inside of cells, causing them to swell. If this happens to brain cells, it can produce dangerous and potentially life-threatening effects such as seizures, brain damage or coma. 😖

Well, water is actually good for you, as long as you do not overdrink it. So, in order to prevent this condition, it's recommended to drink 8 to 13 cups of fluids per day or until your urine looks pale yellow ☺

✨Chilli turkey with broccolini & corn ✨⁣

As requested, I made this amazing recipe last night for dinner . This is one of many I have been enjoying as part of the #thehse 6 week mini program. Healthy & delicious .... super easy and husband approved too!! 😋⁣

Double recipe for 2 people 🙏⁣
〰️ 190g raw turkey mince ⁣
〰️ 1 brown onion, diced ⁣
〰️ 2 cloves garlic, crushed ⁣
〰️ 60g canned cannellini beans, drained⁣
〰️ 220g Italian crushed tomatoes⁣
〰️ 200g broccoli florets or broccolini⁣
〰️ 100g canned corn kernels⁣
〰️ 0.5 tsp olive oil ⁣
〰️ 1 tsp cumin ⁣
〰️ 2 tsp fresh coriander, chopped ⁣
〰️ 1 Birdseye chilli, chopped⁣
〰️ 30g pumpkin seeds⁣
〰️ Pinch salt & black pepper ⁣
⁣
1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic for a few minutes. Add the turkey mince, breaking it up whilst cooking. ⁣
2. Add the cumin, coriander, chilli & cook for a further 2 minutes then add the crushed tomatoes, cannellini beans and corn, stirring well to combine. Cook on a low heat for 15-20 minutes. ⁣
3. Meanwhile, cook the broccolini in a steaming basket over boiling water for about 10 minutes or until softened.⁣
4. Serve the chilli turkey mix alongside the broccolini and sprinkle with pumpkin seeds. ⁣

Optional ... I served topped with chopped avocado, corn chips , grated pumpkin & coconut yoghurt 👌⁣

We started with basic machine work and moved her up to the big lifts (squats, deadlifts, hip thrusts, bench). This beautiful gal sees me weekly for Personal Training and does 3 other days of weights training. She also builds in some cardio sessions randomly, however her program is all weights!

She follows a nutrition plan and tracks her food.. and we’re also now increasing her calories. 😋 -
