Happy Wed friends! We have almost made it through the year that is Jan! Today I’m sharing some more mini reviews, my all-time new favorite thing! This way you can decide if you need some of these for Feb. Remember we have one extra day to read in Feb this year so take full advantage! .
Class Mom- This book was hilarious! I read it in a day and simply could not put it down. I’m not even a Mom and this book is just what I needed. Jen is the Kindergarten class mom. She has already raised two college kids and now is back at it with Max, a 5 year old. She is so funny and sarcastic where most of the parents are hyper-sensitive to everything. If I ever become a mother, I will strive to be Jen! I haven’t gotten to book two yet, You’ve Been Volunteered but I bet it is just as funny! .
Scrappy Little Nobody- I loved Anna Kendrick in the Pitch Perfect films! She is funny in this book and tells all about her upbringing and how she wanted to act pretty much her whole life. This book won’t change your life or anything but it’s an easy, breezy read if you like memoirs. .
Turtles All the Way Down- This was my first John Green book and it was very good. It deals with mental health, abandonment issues and death. Some heavy topics but so well written because it’s YA and doesn’t leave you feeling depressed at the end. Also, the friend Daisy is my champion! Love her! .
Never Look Back- You know I love a good thriller! This one reminds me of a Criminal Minds episode. 40 years ago, a couple teenagers went on a killing spree but then perished in a fire. Or did they? Fast forward to present day when everyone is starting to question what really happened. .
Oh and if you have read this far, all of these are in my #giveaway from yesterday! Check it out! .
