5 WAYS TO GROW YOUR HASHI HAIR BACK 💁‍♀️

This is one of the most common questions I get and let me tell you, I understand first hand how traumatizing it is to take a shower only to end up with a wad of hair in your hands. 😱
.
Here are a few things to consider when growing back your Hashi hair: .
.
1️⃣ Test for *optimal* levels of zinc, ferratin, and iron. (Zinc is also great because it helps covert the inactive form of T4 into the active form of T3.) .
.
2️⃣ Eat an anti-inflammatory diet + reduce sugar while exploring root causes of gut dysfunction. .
.
3️⃣ Reduce stress—I know now it’s a difficult time to tell you this, but stress can make your hair loss, gut health, and  thyroid worse. 🤯 (Self-care practices for the win!) .
.
4️⃣ Collagen Peptides like @vitalproteins and @furtherfood can help repair the healing of the gut and promote hair growth .
.
5️⃣ Be on the right type + dosage of thyroid medication for your body while making sure it’s in *optimal* range. (This will look different for everyone- I go in more detail on this in Hashimotos 101) .

With all this said, I will be transparent with you that hair re-growth is not a quick fix. (It was probably one of the last things to heal for me.) .

However, we often forget about the internal healing that goes along with those components. .

🚨 They are not separate! .
.
You may feel like you are doing everything “right” and still not feeling your best. This is why healing is not such a linear process. 📉📈

It’s blowing my mind the level of inflammatory foods that are missing off the shelves of the grocery isles during a health pandemic. 🤯 .

Here are some basics to keep stocked up in your kitchen, not just now, but always to support your Hashimotos body: .

1️⃣ GARLIC: it’s antibacterial, antifungal, and antimocrobial. A healthy gut = a healthy immune system! 🙌 .
.
2️⃣ GINGER: it stimulates digestion, reduces inflammation, and also has  antibacterial properties. .
.
My favorite is to throw them in soups or sautée them with veggies. 🍲 .

In times like these, we can either focus on what we can’t do, OR focus on what we CAN do. .

Taking off your shoes and socks and connecting with the Earth 🌍(grass, sand, dirt) has many healing properties including: .

👣 Neutralizes free radicals that create inflammation .

👣 Improves sleep + pain management + stress .

👣  Improves immunity .

You can do this just by stepping outside of your house to get some fresh air. (While practicing social distancing of course). .
