I was a bridesmaid in a wedding a few weeks ago. Getting a dress that fit right was tough because I'm in between sizes. Transformations in the same outfits are my favourite! When I put my old clothes back on it reminds me of how far I have really come! I remember by May 2019 I had lost 40lbs or so maybe (3 stone) and pictured left I was starting to feel happier going into changing rooms - skip to a year later and this top is gigantic on me 😂🥳

We all would agree that keeping weight off is one of the greatest struggle 🙊⁣

Research estimates that around 80% of people who lose weight are going to regain it back or more within a year🤷⁣

If you’ve ever lost weight yourself and re-gained it back yourself, you’re probably all too familiar with this struggle.⁣

But, there’s good news! Research has shown that approximately 20% of individuals are actually successful at long-term weight loss. Like me🙈 I have been successfully maintaining my weight since past 3-3.5 years. Inspite of having all my favourite foods🙃⁣

So What’s the secret? What do people who keep the weight off do differently?⁣
Here are the few things you can follow⁣
⁣
✅First and very imp thing is to make sure you follow and lose weight with Healthy diet plan. Don't starve or try fad diets. ⁣
✅Once you reach your goal weight, the worst thing you can do is to resume your old eating habits. Remember that those are the eating habits that caused the weight gain in the first place.⁣
✅Keep a scale in your bathroom and use it once a week to keep a track of your weight.⁣
✅Eat smartly even when you are not on diet. Manage your eating when you are traveling or on vacation. These are the tough times.⁣
✅Don’t fall for the “I’ve lost weight so now I can eat whatever I want” mindset and binge once you’ve reached your goal.⁣
In order to keep the weight off, you have to make sure that your overall food intake is at your maintenance level. Don't overeat (especially the junk food)⁣
✅Add heavy calorie food slowly & gradually on your diet while making sure that maximum of time your eating healthy⁣
✅Your environment plays a huge role in your success, and weight maintenance is positively associated with social support. When you’re surrounded by people who are also eating well you’re going to be more motivated to do so, too. ⁣

When I used to go shopping I would live vicariously through my daughter..I would recommend things for her to wear, knowing that if I could, I would 100% wear it too.I bought the left dress in a size XL and clearly it was not a great fit. The right is my daughters dress in a size XS.No more wishful thinking for me.She’s now hiding all her clothes

I just remembered yesterday’s lunch never made it to IG, so here it is: chopped salad with greens (from the garden!!), carrots, tomatoes, onions, radishes, black lentils, quinoa and a cilantro pesto with pine nuts. Pretty stellar 🌟
