Verdict: 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Another #Filipinofoodmonth entry: how do they keep such a low profile and be this gooooooooood?! I mean, who could have thought that heating and squishing Pianonos could be a pinoy food porn- that oozing with butter cream filling situation is truly a world changing moment.
The creation of Mike & Len's Bakery gives all the extra deliciousness of a native dessert. Airy, bouncy, fluffy sponge cake that is springly legitimate good at its best. It’s not overly sweet and soaks in the flavors well - such a win win!! Also, it absorbs the moisture from the creamy filling that rounds out the flavours! A cake that doesn't go dry around the edges, perfectly finished with dust of powdered sugar.
I can't help but commend the bakers, they mastered the art of precision and attention to detail, noticing how the cake is at its full volume due to the balanced consistency of the basic ingredients. Their skills came naturally focusing on the body of the cake and getting that lovely light sponge that everyone will obsessed over. (Coffee is so so so so so good!!!) It would be hard pressed to think of anything I like other than chocolate, I really have no soft spots aside from it. BUT, this is where it all begins, I am all in and dead-on on these Piononos.
