when we stop  food to body it uses stored energy of the body similarly when we stop input to mind from all 6 sense door ( eye, nose, ear, tounge, skin and external layer of mind ). It's start using stored energy ( deep thoughts( both pleasant and unpleasant ) ) .  When somone practice vipasana meditation these thoughts come on surface as sensation ( pain, itching, pleasure .. ) .  no reaction to these sensations means somone have started developing control over mind and deep rooted impurities  also starts getting evapourated .

PROPER NUTRITION is as important to health as exercise.
