Al fresco setting, eclectic menu, fresh beers on tap, panoramic view of the city - The 13th floor. 👈 •••••••••••••••••••
As a child, the first high rise building I ever visited was the then tallest building in Bangalore and one of the oldest tall commercial structure - Public Utility Building on M G Road.
As a teenager and a youngster regularly visited Brigade Road and M G road. Barton centre stood out for us because of the ’height of ’dholpur’ stone used on the facade. The last time I visited Barton centre was on a professional visit for a commercial project. The client had occupied luxury space in the lower floors of this building. I returned home with a feeling that I miss the style and corporate culture of Bengaluru. Time heals and I now call Hyderabad my home.
Feb 2020, the experience was ’blast from the past’.
Not only was I going back to MG Rd after ages, but I was also meeting one of the friendliest ’ human being after long. Standing on the edge of the rooftop restaurant I tried basking in the picture that offered from the 13th floor. We were quickly seated in the casual yet cheerful indoors. Even from here one can admire the view from the high bar stools and also catch the barman make some heady cocktails. My friend suggested (the former teetotaler) to try desi #geist beer. Both fresh beers- blonde ale and Indian pale ale on tap were juicy and strong. Paired with the favorite lotus root which was crunchy and perfectly flavoured with salt pepper and Sichuan.
foodkarma verdict -

I would have a preference to revisit when it becomes possible. Preferably before dusk to see the city below from the thirteenth floor.
Am sure (swipe left 👈 )after watching the video you too would like a chance to ’feel the wind in your hair’ 😀😁
