We all initially come to yoga for varying reasons, many seeking to improve ourselves— to tone, to become more flexible, to be stronger—and this can lead to people striving and straining beyond what they’re capable of.
So, it’s gratifying to see those in class who are willing to try a suggested option and decide not to proceed if that option doesn’t feel right to them, to move at their own pace and not follow the crowd, to practise a yoga for their bodies.
