Fusilli with fresh tuna, orange tomatoes and red onions.
Pasta used: Fusilli @pastadimartino
Wash/cut the tuna and season the pieces with salt and pepper. Set aside. Meanwhile but some water to boil for the pasta
Stir fry some red onions and a bit of chili with little e.v. olive oil in a pan. Add some whole tomatoes and some cut in half and let them caramelise.
I had some left white wine (dry) so I used it at this point, but it's not necessary.
After the wine, add the tuna pieces and let them cook for less than a minute, then remove them from the pan.
When the water is boiling, add salt and the pasta of your choice. I prefer the "ruvida" or "rigata" type of pasta, so that the sauce will blend nicely with it
Add the pasta in the sauce when it's almost done but still aldente and keep cooking it all togheter, adding some cooking water if necessary. When it's ready, add the tuna pieces again along with fresh basil, raw red onions slices and black pepper (if you like) and eat 💕
What I used for 1 portion:
70 gr of pasta
1 tuna steak of 120 gr
1 teaspoon of e.v. Oil
150 gr of tomatoes
Half medium red onion
Basil, chili, black pepper on my taste
1/3 of a glass of wine - 14 minutes ago
