These past 2 days have been challenging. We set out to hospital because Aa has hit the fourth days having fever, while Caca was also started showing the same symptoms, so we decided to check it out to doctor.
It was an uneasy feeling but we tried to convince ourselves that pediatric (and maternity) hospital should be better as compared to general hospital. When we got there and saw how they are doing the protocol, reassured as further. There are separate access for outpatient and normal entry, checkpoints where temperature and medical history examined, nurses and even admin workers are using ppe.
Upon doctor’s examination and lab test, our worry realized, Aa is having dengue and most certainly Caca is too. Luckily, considering the conditions we can still bring Aa home for home treatment, the key according to doctor is fluid intake, as much as possible to prevent worsening condition.
Have you experience the same situation under this “new normal”? Also, let me know should you have questions? - 1 hour ago
