In the collection of Spring 2020 - the 36-year-old creative director of Marni Francesco Risso riffed on the idea of an imagined anti-infective drug, tachitropirina, penned as an antidote to an array of afflictions: Fauvism, chromatic delirium, tropicalism, overconsumption of ayahuasca. Counter-indications included “total incapacity for activism.” A listed side effect was “tree-hugging.” In appeasing to designers' crazy exploration of colours and patterns, a large number of tranquilizers are needed, whether real or imagined. Risso was shown in a palm grove consisting of wood pulp, cellulose fibers, and old fabrics, under the leaves of recycled plastic, showing his most conceptual collection.
