It’s almost guaranteed that a big transformation will take you longer than you expect it to. What you really need to know is that fat gain and loss don't happen overnight. You don’t gain 50+ lbs of fat in a few days, so stop expecting to lose it that fast. The entire process, gain or loss, is scientifically pretty slow, so hard work is required to get rid of that fat.
