I grew up in a Baptist Christian church. “No sex before marriage” was the golden rule. I‘m all about the sanctity and discernment of who we share intimate energy with, but the shame and taboo is beyond reason & sooo engrained! Even after marriage, no one dared talk about their sex life. 🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️
What does this kind of denial do to us, when we repress such a natural part of ourselves that wants to be expressed and explored? How much unnecessary inner turmoil does this cause?
