We were contacted a couple days ago about a possibly blind cat. Between when we were first contacted and when we had planned to attempt his rescue we had our family dog Bailey start to decline from her cancer. .
We had to postpone going out and asked the finder of Apollo to try and trap him herself, so that we could take him, or reach out to other rescues. She attempted both trapping alone and contacting other rescues, but came up empty handed. She contacted us again and said that his condition was declining and had stopped eating all together. We knew we had to help get this Angel to the Vet. .
We went out this morning and his condition was much worse than we expected or could be relayed through photos. He, like Phoenix, has a terrible case of mange but is also suffering from an infection that is severely affecting his eyes. From what we can see, it looks like one of his eyes is falling out. We have an appointment for him to see the vet tomorrow. We will keep everyone updated on his condition. .
We have started a campaign to raise funds for Apollo's Vet visit tomorrow. The amount we are raising is only for the basic cost of what we already know he will need. This DOES NOT include any additional test/surgeries he might need.
If you would like to help, please visit the link in our bio @catsofsanbernardino or share to help us raise the funds needed for this little Angel. . .
