🌟 Challenge of the Week: Schedule Special Time 🌟
This week's challenge is a super fun one (and I'm not just saying that because I'm the one hosting it lol)! It's all about spending special time with your kids!
Now, I know that you are already spending time with your kids each week...but this week I want you to focus on SPECIAL TIME. Not "have to" time (i.e. driving them to school or picking them up from practice) or casual time (i.e. dinner time or family game night), but time 1-on-1 time that has been planned and scheduled!
If your kids are between the ages of 2 and 6, then aim to schedule at least 10 minutes a day of special time with them. If they are between the ages of 7 and 12, then they might not need special time every day but 30 minutes a week of scheduled special time can go a long way in helping to deepen your connection with your child. And if you have teenagers, go ahead and schedule special time for them too! They might act like they don't want to be around you, but just keep trying different activities until you find one that works for you both!
Of course the amount of time that you spend with your kids will vary depending on your family situation, so don't stress yourself out about the exact amount of time. The idea is for your kids to know that you have set aside some time JUST FOR THEM, and to make that time special.
Not sure what to do for special time? Or how to make sure that it's actually "special?" Then join me on Facebook this Thursday night at 8pm EST to learn how you can use love languages to make your special time even more powerful!
So, are you up for the challenge? If so, comment "I'm in" below and be sure to come back to this post and tell us about your special time! - 23 minutes ago
