GUT HEALTH, no one talks much about gut health but me even being here to bring it up today is a testament to it’s importance.
16 years ago I was diagnosed with a cancer that should’ve taken me out within a year. I had great support, great doctors, a great surgeon and a LOT of prayers 🙏
So here I am today, a serious proponent of clean(ish) eating (y’all know I’m honest about that) 😉, gut health, and moderate exercise!
And honestly, though I’ve been cancer-free for over a decade, until 4 years ago I had no hope of ever getting the inside parts of me healthy again, I thought I’d deal with gut inflammation, the dozen extra inches around my midsection and the digestive discomforts and bloat for the rest of my life...I’d accepted it, because... LIFE, but I still held out hope and searched for a better lifestyle nutritionally to support my body if not mend me. 💃🏻 Most people don’t realize how important having a healthy gut is to your overall health, your mindset and moods, your energy levels, the appearance of your skin, hair and nails, your aches and discomforts, your allergies, the foods you crave and even your sex drive.
Even the healthiest of us will have some nutritional gaps or environmental factors that affect our absorption of what our bodies need, so supplementation (especially as we age) is critical to our health and well being.
I’ve witnessed what good gut health can do for a body, my own body yes, but for thousands of others in my world as well! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
