how many times do i get to say this week was heavy? until the burden is lifted? okay, thank you because navigating these intersections of 𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬, 𝘤𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘯, 𝘸𝘪𝘧𝘦, 𝘮𝘰𝘮, 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘳, 𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳, 𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘹𝘶𝘢𝘭, 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘶𝘳 have been exhausting.
i’ve been saying since the beginning of #covid -19, no more business as usual. add recent (ongoing) events and well i don’t even know where to begin. 2020 has been something else! suddenly, my content calendar seems trivial.
ain’t enough plays of cranes in the sky, clay face masks, deep conditioning or plant watering to make any of this go away. ain’t enough tears to wash away the hurt, pain, and fear.
i’m holding on to romans 5:3-5, “And we are also happy with the troubles we have. Why are we happy with troubles? Because we know that these troubles make us more patient. And this patience is proof that we are strong. And this proof gives us hope. And this hope will never disappoint us. We know this because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts through the Holy Spirit he gave us.”
i know we’re tired of troubles, exercising patience, and being strong - but there’s hope! 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲, 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝘂𝘀. - 4 minutes ago
