I've learned many things over the last month.
The biggest thing I learned is we are not in control! I was so pumped for the new year and ready to continue to dig deep with my health and fitness and then I hurt my shoulder and neck the last week of December. Now idea how I did it but I did and it's definitely been a learning curve.
I've had to modify in my workouts, I've had to skip many days of working out, I've had to completely rest for over a week from my workouts to let it heal. This was not easy for me! I'll be honest I've been a grump, I've been unhappy, I've been lost! This is a lifestyle not a quick fix!
When you all of a sudden can't do something you love that has been part of your life and routine for 2 years it gets hard! It definitely slaps a person in the face when their body can't do what they want it to and what it used to do.
I also learned that taking time to heal an injury is also part of self care! It doesn't mean you quit or failed.
But what I did do was dialed in my nutrition!🍽️ Kept cheering on my ladies! 📣
Found other ways to destress. 🧘♀️🛀
Used my resources of healers! Lol chiropractor, physical therapist, massage therapist and essential oils! 🙌🙏 I'm not 100% better but I'm feeling more like myself and I'm feeling amazing! I'm ready to crush MY program! Yes this is MY program because it jump started this entire journey for me in June of 2018 at 7 months postpartum! 🙌
