How quick is your heart racing during cardio? Circuit training?
Base your goals on your INTENSITY level, aka, your % of your MAX heart rate.
I try to keep my intensity to 75-85% of my Max HR. For me that means at 154 bpm.
If you're going for endurance or just starting out your fitness journey, it may make more sense to keep your HR around 65% of your MAX.
