“I want perspective...to know how lucky I am to have the ‘problems’ that I have. I want to be reminded of the beauty there is in the world, everywhere, all the time, and the resilience of the human spirit. I want to know how important it is to keep my head up, to keep moving, and to keep smiling.” ♡
-me to my journal, a few weeks before all this craziness happened.
I can’t help but feeling like this whole thing is actually what I asked for...but that’s how I always feel when I look back.
If you don’t already have one, I dare you to start writing things down, or start recording your thoughts in any way.
My journal has been an incredible resource for self awareness, self compassion, self identifying patterns (good and bad) that shape my life without me even realizing it.
Our thoughts become who we are, and 90% of the time, we don’t pay attention to them. So I dare you to listen to yourself. Write it down, record it, anything. Create a paper trail of your thoughts. Try once a day.
When could be a better time?
