This week in Singapore there was a large outbreak in migrant worker dorms and lots of community spread.
So there is now a one month closure of all but essential services.
Restaurants and Hawker stands are still able to offer takeaway...so we can still have pizza night in bed getting pizza from the marina restaurant...thank goodness ♥️♥️
And we can still get our favorite fresh juices at the Hawker stand nearby.
Sadly our and all pools are closed, and there are to be no gatherings in or outside the home of any size.
One can go out to exercise as long as the appropriate social distancing is observed and get takeaway food and groceries.
Two thousand officers have been put into action to enforce everything and 7000 tickets were given out the first day!
All households, including us living aboard our sailboat were given these reusable, washable masks to use when grocery shopping, or when you have to be less than 6ft away from others, such as on public transit.
You can still be infectious and unknowingly spreading infection even if you feel fine! You can be in the incubation, pre symptom stage or having a very minor case.
I’m so glad wearing a mask to prevent community spread is now being promoted. I’ve personally felt there was a lot of asymptotic spread from the very beginning and thought this should have been a thing a lot sooner.
