My child cannot be the only one who absolutely loves a plaster right? Any bump, bruise or prick needs a plaster... @patchstrips_sa got in touch with us to ask to send us a few tubes of their organic bamboo bandages and after reading up on them and their awesome ‘features’ I couldn’t wait to give them a try! PATCH was born in Australia when the founder noticed that while trying to protect his son’s adventure wounds his skin was in fact reacting badly to a common wound covering and making the wound worse. After doing some research he was shocked to discover that there is an array of chemicals that lurk in the common plasters and wanted to find an alternative that accommodated the other side of his motivations – his son also hated putting creams on his skin. As parents you can get pretty creative with ways to put an anti-septic/anti-bacterial cream on the plaster… I am sure you can relate to this one. Fast forward to today - PATCH is an incredible Award winning range of natural alternative Hypoallergenic Adhesive Strips that are latex free, paraben free, thimerosal free and cruelty free! The breathable strips are made from organic certified components like Bamboo which is a rapidly renewable resource. My personal favourite part of the range – other than it not being made of plastic is how each bandage caters for a different type of wound. The range includes; Natural Organic Strips – to help repair minor abrasions, Aloe Vera Organic Strips – to help soothe blisters, curs and minor abrasions, Black Bamboo – which has activated charcoal to draw out impurities and repair minor abrasions and for the kiddies who love a cute panda print – the coconut oil strips to soothe grazes, cuts and bruises. Brilliant right? The bandages retail for R100 a tube and a full list of where you can find them is available on @patchstrips_sa ’s website.
