It was cold 🥶 this morning. What a difference from the last couple of days. Got my ass out there and walked anyway.
Keeping to as much of your “old daily routine” as possible while creating your #NewNormal can help you feel more secure in this time of turmoil.
What little rituals did you perform on a daily basis before that you have kind of let fall away?
Take a moment to reflect on the simple things that’s you did daily and get back to them. They can help keep you from feeling too overwhelmed.
This includes things like:
Getting up at the same time every day. Even if your not working or are now working from home and don’t have to get up as early.
Going to bed each night at the same time. If possible go to bed earlier. You will want as much healing sleep as you can get. Don’t underestimate the power of a good nights sleep.
Putting on pants. This is huge. No you don’t have to wear “work clothes,” but getting dressed will make you feel more confident and “put together”
Make your bed. A super small thing that makes a difference at night when it’s time to sleep.
Schedule regular breaks and meals.
What can you do that’s similar if not the same. Like but not exactly. Not perfect, but good enough to give you some peace.
