I’ve been absent from my fitness journey for months. I’d created this account as a way to keep myself accountable, and I haven’t been doing that.
Today, for the first time in months, I got in the gym and got my sweat on.
I’m five months late, but I got through MPC Month 1: Cycle 1 - Session 1. I felt a little discouraged because I haven’t done an actual workout in months due to a new work schedule and then the gyms being closed due to COVID-19.
I lost pretty much all the progress I’d made in the last three months of 2019 and I’m more or less back at square one.
The amazing thing, though? Those negative feelings of not being good enough, and “how did I let this happen, AGAIN?” - those feelings didn’t stick around very long. As soon as Coach Valbo started walking through the workout for the session, a flip switched and I reminded myself - I’ve DONE this before. So I had a setback. A major one. But I can DO this because I want it more than I want to remain the same.
I am so glad that I haven’t forgotten all that @mypeakchallenge has given me. The program and the community that’s grown from it has changed my life. I am so grateful for every single one of you.
