NAIL DOWN THE BASICS

How many times have you gone in to do a shop and we have picked up 2/3/4/5+ items we shouldn’t have?

This may seem like the most basic thing you’ve ever heard, but we are all still guilty of doing this and we wonder why we put on body fat.

I’ll always advise this with clients. Write a food shop list and stick to it. No exceptions.

This forces us to get what we NEED and not what we WANT. There’s a difference.

Intact 5 simple ways. I often see people compare the protein intake of steak to broccoli and I really don’t understand why when the volume of broccoli needed to match a piece of steak or any other meat is so high. Sure broccoli does contain protein though and can help you hot your goal.

I recommend you guys to eat 0.8g of protein per lb of body weight so it may be that you eat over or under 40g a serving, but don’t worry total protein intake is much more important

Wrist pain is common, especially during the bench press. One cause of this pain is poor hand and wrist posture. By holding the bar too high up in the hand, your wrist can bend during the bench press, causing pain and giving you a weaker benchpress.⁣

Grip the bar lower on your hand instead and keep your wrist neutral, stacking your joint under the bar to ensure the safest and the strongest bench press!⁣

Some of us are a bit different than the majority

The "normal" route of life doesn't quite fit for us, we choose another path to get to our goals

It's not neccessarily an easier or harder path, it's just different and is mostly frowned upon by the majority

But some of us might not want what most people got, so naturally we must do something else to achieve a different result

But to quoute one of my favorite movies, Mr. Nobody "Every path is the right path. Everything could've been anything else and it would have just as much meaning

Do what makes the most sense to you, decision will alter your future, but atleast it will be your future

If you decide it by yourself atleast you won't resent anyone by following advice that didn't sit right with you

Need to work on avoiding the good morning on LB.

Coaching people has been an absolute blast. I have never been this busy in my life but haven't felt this satisfied either. .

When it comes to training LEGS, if you train it right, you can see some really great muscle growth. If you aren't seeing much progress, chances are you are doing one or more of the things on the left side. Take these ideas into consideration when training legs.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(1) TRAIN LEGS 2-3/WEEK: If you throw more frequency towards a body part, cahnces are you'll see more growth. Normally 2x a week will work just fine, but you can bump it up to 3x a week if you are struggling to make it grow.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
(2) DON'T NEGLECT HAMSTRINGS: Many people will only do quad exercises, and won't involve hamstrings in any way. Including hamstrings can really help develop the leg to make it look bigger overall.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

(3) TRAIN FOR STRENGTH AND HYPERTROPHY: Many people don't see results because they are varying their rep ranges. Train heavy for low reps as well as lighter for higher reps. The mixture of these 2 can help make the legs GROW!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

LEG GROWTH by @KRUCKIFITKESS ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When it comes to training LEGS, if you train it right, you can see some really great muscle growth. If you aren't seeing much progress, chances are you are doing one or more of the things on the left side. Take these ideas into consideration when training legs.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (1) TRAIN LEGS 2-3/WEEK: If you throw more frequency towards a body part, cahnces are you'll see more growth. Normally 2x a week will work just fine, but you can bump it up to 3x a week if you are struggling to make it grow.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (2) DON'T NEGLECT HAMSTRINGS: Many people will only do quad exercises, and won't involve hamstrings in any way. Including hamstrings can really help develop the leg to make it look bigger overall.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (3) TRAIN FOR STRENGTH AND HYPERTROPHY: Many people don't see results because they are varying their rep ranges. I'm no expert on depression but the findings of a 2018 meta-analysis (a study of studies) did draw some very interesting conclusions I thought would be worth sharing.⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In their findings, out of 54 outcomes (from 33 RCTs), 89% showed a significant reduction in depressive symptoms when employing RESISTANCE TRAINING!⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One cool thing is that there was no relation to a specific volume load, frequency of training, or even strength improvement patterns (and also demographic). It seems that just working out is good enough to elicit some sort of positive effect on depression.⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
