Based on the bestselling comic book, Ray Garrison is a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he's an unstoppable force - stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn't know what's real and what's not - but he's on a mission to find out.
It's an sci-fi acton movie directed by David S. F. Wilson starring Vin Diesel in a leading role alongside: Eiza Gonzalez, Sam Heughan, Alex Hernandez, Guy Pearce, Siddharth Dhananjay, Talulah Riley and Lamorne Morris.
Originally I wasn't interested in this movie, definitely wasn't going to see it in the cinema but while quarantining I've way too much time. That's how I got to watch Bloodshot. I wasn't interested because I'm not the biggest Vin Diesel fan. I don't hate him, I like him, but he doesn't have a big range and he always looks and sounds the same in every movie, especially while wearing tank tops, it's kind of like watching the same character all the time. With the exception of Groot – of course.
He usually kicks people's asses while not talking to much and that is exactly what is happening here. Movie is very much centered around his character. He has the most amount of action scenes which made me feel like they really underused supporting cast and there were 3 other enhanced soldiers. Eiza Gonzalez had like 1 min action scene in a whole movie. They could have cut Alex Hernandez character out from final version of the movie and it wouldn't make a big difference. Sam Heughan who I was excited to see, was in the background throughout the movie and had this one long action scene at the end that was so over the top and badly CGI I was like: come on, what is this?! I would appreciate more practical stunt work to be honest. But the action scene with flour was very cool. My favourite character in the movie, that does not appear on any poster – why?! - was Wilfred Wigans played by Lamorne Morris. He was so good! I need more Wilfred Wigans in my life.
