Today I visited Valle de la Luna (moon valley) in San Pedro Atacama, Chile. The reservation is beautiful. And it really felt like another world.
So far the Atacama desert is as beautiful as I had hoped for. It’s dry and dusty but you can always see the mountains and volcanos in the distance and they are stunning. There is also so many different types of terrain from the salt flats to stretches of bare dry dirt and then stretches of lush plants. It’s cool how drastic it can seem when driving.
So far I’ve seen wild sheep and donkeys on the side of the road. And there are so many dogs, including two adorable black puppies that roam near the Airbnb I’m staying in. Though, I have yet to see a llama but tomorrow is a new and promising day! - 8 minutes ago
