2010 was the first year I tried the @essentrics 30 Day Challenge and it changed my life. The challenge is to do 1 Essentrics workout per day for 30 days. Workouts can be as short as 20 minutes or as long as an hour- whatever you have time for⏱ Easy enough! Back then, I was cycling 15 miles to and from work everyday, nannying, and one year post-recovery from an abdominal surgery. Not a great combo for my body. 🙅🏻♀️ I DVR’d Classical Stretch episodes and did one (almost) every day. By the end of the challenge, my hips felt less tight when I walked, my back felt stronger (esp. lifting a kid out of a crib!), and the sharp scar pain ⚡️ lessened to the point that I could go weeks (instead of days) without feeling it.
It wasn’t a massive change over those 30 days, but it was enough that my body felt BETTER than it had in a long time, and I was sold on Essentrics. It would still be another 3 years before I would consider teaching it to others, but I was already telling everyone who even mentioned body pain to try it!
If you’ve been feeling aches that won’t go away, you don’t have to accept it as “I guess I’m just getting old!” 👵🏼 No, you’re not! Just try the workouts, start small with 15-20 minute videos a day, and you’ll be shocked at how good you can feel again 🌿 - 22 minutes ago
