As 2019 draws to a close, WildSafeBC reminds BC residents that black bears are still very active in many communities. The WARP map shows black bear activity from December 1st to 8th.

Province-wide, 2019 has been a very active year for black bears and conflicts are on par with 2017. From January 1 to November 30, there were over 4,700 reports of black bears accessing garbage.
