A young leopard cub relaxes in a tree waiting for his mother’s return.
The end of the first week in lockdown here in the UK and the clocks have gone forward to UK summertime. We are all going through an extremely challenging time and it’s important to try and keep positive and use this time wisely. We will beat this and it will come to an end and life will return to normal so let’s try to use this time as an opportunity to do things we have been meaning to do but have been putting off... tidy your house and your life, spend quality time with your family, pick up the phone and speak to people you haven’t spoken to for a while and check they are ok and also think about your relationship with nature. Now that our time outdoors is restricted it really makes us appreciate the time spent there even more. We often underestimate the healing power of spending time outside and with animals. The time we spent with this leopard cub was absolutely magical and unforgettable and I feel so privileged to have spent a small amount of time with him. Being given a small glimpse into an animals life is fascinating whether it is a leopard, an elephant or an animal which is a bit closer to my home like a rabbit or deer. The ecosystem and ourselves are all connected which is why it is so important that we respect it and protect it. I hope you are all staying safe and well and I wish you all a happy Sunday. #samburu #samburunationalreserve #leopard #elephantwatchcamp #savetheelephants #animalelite #africanimals #naturephotography #natureseekers #natureperfection #femalenaturephotographycom #wildlife_seekers #wildlifeaddicts - 27 minutes ago
