I. Am. Tired.
I am not a complainer. AT. ALL. I am a suck it up and figure it out kind of person.
My days usually start at 4:30am & wrap up between 2-4pm with only dinner, baths and bed between 5:30-7:30pm.
This week, my daughter has had rehearsals for her Christmas Angel Ballet performance from 4-6:30-7pm. A couple days I have not seen my house since leaving at 7am.
Here I am, Friday morning, woke up at 3am with a migraine, a laundry list of things to do, feeling hit by a truck. Is it my only sleeping 4 hours or am I catching the kids cold? No clue.
I have exercised twice in two weeks, eaten more take out than I want to admit, am fueled by coffee and have zero extra energy or emotion to give anyone.
Wanna know the point in sharing all this?
It’s just a small blip. I could focus on how I’ve not moved, eaten right or rested.. On how burned out I feel. On how I just want to exist without any obligations for an hour.
Or. Recognize it is a blip...much like a season of life.
Postpartum is quite a season like this blip. In fact, many seasons feel like this blip. And we are constantly moving through one season to another.
It’s important to take a step back from the emotions and recognize what season we are in and rather than let it drown us or get down, we find the lessons. Find the growth. Listen to our bodies. Love those cues and respond.
So today. I’m taking the day off. My body says I need to rest, so I am listening. I won’t exercise, I will eat well and I will rest.
Heal & Seal...empowering women *pic from yesterday afternoon during my one hour between stuff and more stuff. I didn’t realize until I sat down how tired I was🤦♀️*
(ps, I put her performance link in the comments if you want to else’s a very cool ballet by Celestial Stars) #healandseal #diastasisrecti #pelvicfloor #postpartum #postpartumbody #fitmom #postpartumfitness #momlife #columbiasc #needcoffee - 1 hour ago
