How do you know if your in an aerobic state?
Heart rate monitors are excellent tools in determining whether or not your in a arobic state.
Take your age and subtract it from 220 to get your max heart rate then multiply your max heart rate by 0.65 or 65%.
The result is your target heart rate to burn fat effectively without tapping to much into your carbs or muscle for energy.
Or you can you use the talk test. If your working out or jogging lightly and can have a conversation while doing so you may be in a aerobic state.
