You see those awesome transformations of people starting off classified as ‘skinny fat’ by society. Meaning they aren’t carrying much muscle mass, but they aren’t necessarily overweight either. But they are leaner, more fit looking and at a similar bodyweight a few months/years down the track.
What you don’t see behind the changes within these photos is also the improvements in their health markers. At Nexus Performance our nutrition coaches address most of these underlying issues first. Reducing stress and management, improving sleep regimes, social relationships and educating them around food, means our clients are more likely to adhere and comply with the protocols set. This is where results are truly received long term.
A lot of people over stimulate themselves without addressing fundamentals first. The reality is, your bodies physiological system does not run at optimal efficiency when certain links within the chain are not connecting properly.
So if you’re not losing weight, but are over worked, under slept yet slaughtering yourself in the gym and starving yourself alongside this. Your bodies comping mechanisms are not designed to push fat loss when there are other more serious health markers are inhibiting this.
