Can we for just one moment, take a step back and look at the situation we are in? We have gotten far too big for our boots. The human species is more fragile than we thought huh? Our modern technologies and science has lulled us into a false sense of security. With a grandiose attitude, we abuse everything, whether it be the other species on this planet, deciding their fate as food, pets or trophies on the wall, to the earth itself. Constantly taking from her fossils, oxygen, water and the inhabitants themselves. We became greedy and godlike. Then one day a little virus comes along, that doesn't bother the earth or ANY of the other species and it completely floors us.
Its almost like the universe has said "sit your asse down, who the f@#k do you think you are?"
Know your place in this world. We are ALL equal. The sooner we get our heads back around this the better. We are no greater than any other species, race or gender. From the abused dairy cow, the trophy hunted rhino, the fish trapped in the nets being dragged out of their homes, the hard working women not receiving equal pay, the men who are afraid to speak their feelings, slavery due to race and location., to the masses of trees being chopped down to create more land for livestock for nus greedy humans to eat.
THIS NEEDS TO STOP
We can live a life full of gratitude, love and respect in so many other ways. If this crisis teaches us anything, I do hope it's to recognise our fragility, our equality, and be grateful for all that we are and all that we have.
Remember, the world does not revolve around us. 🌍💜 - 11 minutes ago
