(Quite the change when before every meal and snack I ate had to be high protein and was usually meat. I canโ€™t believe Iโ€™m actually writing this, yโ€™all. As of yesterday, I am official a DISTRICT MANAGER with Arbonne. This is the first level of only 4 levels!

Iโ€™m so insanely excited to have gotten my first promotion in just 3 months!

Habt ihr schonmal mit Lupinen gekocht? Ich bis vor Kurzem nicht - geht aber super einfach und kann รคhnlich zu Couscous / Quinoa verwendet werden. Der Vorteil: Lupinen haben nur ca. halb so viele Kalorien und dabei doppelt so viel EiweiรŸ wie z.B. Couscous ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ ist auf jeden Fall mal einen Versuch wert๐Ÿ˜

I was soaking beans this morning to cook later and felt like sharing some thoughts on protein๐Ÿ™‚

Everyone has an obsession with "getting enough" protein . Just to be very clear, if you consume enough calories .. you will get enough protein!
.

One reason people are afraid to try out a plant based diet, is for fear of not getting enough protein . Protein is really the last thing we need to worry about. .
.
The focus should be on other nutrients like iron, calcium , B12 and fibre! The standard Western diet is lacking in all of the nutrients, I just mentioned . .
.
Think about it , if you are pounding back the common idea of protein (Cholesterol and high fat animal products ) but neglecting fruits and veggies you are depriving your body from all the nutrients it really needs. .
.
You can easily meet your protein needs from plant based sources and get an abundance of vitamins and minerals. By skipping the animal products you are also eliminating the consumption of Cholesterol and saturated fat. Replacing the animal products with larger quantities of fruits, veggies, beans, grains, nuts and seeds you are setting your body up to get not only protein but also avoid all of the things doctors tell us to reduce...sodium, cholesterol and saturated fat.

Finally, you will also get the whole package of vitamins, minerals and fibre! The swap is really a win win. .

Another pre-lockdown restaurant outing which literally changed my life. Can't believe it took me so long to go to @purezza in Camden, an ALL VEGAN PIZZERIA! This food was so damn good! I got dough balls to start which put pizza express to shame, they literally ooze melted cheese YUM. And for main I got the one and only parmigiana party (also love how all the pizzas are named like friends episodes). Will definitely be paying a visit back once Miss Rona has finally left us all ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ•
