My romance with ceramics began by accident, a friend of mine started going to a class, got excited and convinced me to join.
The first few weeks were soooooo frustrating. I didn't manage to get the technique right and all the other students around me looked like ”pro” amateurs who seemed to know what they're doing. It was hard not to compare myself to the rest and it made me feel that ceramics just wasn't for me.
The day I decided to quit the class was my turning point. I wasn't stressed about getting pieces done and was just throwing clay and creating cylinders, without expecting them to turn into ”something”. It felt really freeing and I finally started to enjoy it.
That was about 3 years ago and since then studio days have become my favorite days of the week! Ceramic making became a true passion for me and another way to express myself🌈 - 40 minutes ago
