That’s the set-up for Bench, mastered beautifully by Janhavi and Smita, getting 15 reps with 30 kgs and 3 reps with 45 kgs, respectively. These reps are their Personal best for both.  The entire force is generated through legs, using Kinetic chain - where the force generated by pushing feet to the ground is transferred to upper limbs together with scapulas pulled back and held tightly on the bench. Понемногу увеличиваем с Наташей @samarina_powerlifting вес штанги и сегодня она жала 120, 125 и 130кг📹 по 3 повторения. Жмётся пока не особо легко, но всему своё время, торопиться нам некуда, пик формы планируем на июнь, с проходным стартом в апреле. Собственный вес 67,5кг.

Do you walk into the gym, do a few toe touches, lying hamstring raises and arm circles then begin your workout?

If so, you may actually be hindering your workout. 👉🏽

Studies show that static stretches - or stretches that have minimal movement and a lot of "holding" can reduce your workout performance by 12-15%!!! 😱

This is due to the fact that muscles CAN be over stretched when cold and not properly warmed up which can take away from your workout & lead to injury. 🤕

So what ARE you suppose to do then? Well, you still want warm up, just not the way you're use too. Enter: Dynamic stretching. 🤸🏻‍♀️

Dynamic stretching is stretching that involves movement and produces blood flow. This type of stretching along with a specific warm up are just that - specific to your workout to get your body primed for action. ⛏

For example: if you’re getting ready to squat or train legs your warmup would look like this:
3x15 goblet squats squats 
3x15 light RDL’s
3x15 bodyweight Bulgarian split squats 
3x15 dead bugs

As for the everyday stretching, don't throw it away just yet. This is great at the end of your workout or even at nonexercise times throughout your day. ⠀
