If you're looking to lose weight, I recommend adding in weight training into your program. 3-4 hours of weight training per week.
I teach all my clients weight training. Especially learning exercises like a barbell squat, deadlift, bench press and military press. If you're unsure how to do these exercises, get yourself a trainer.
Benefits of weight training:- 1. The more muscle mass you have, the higher your BMR is, which means you will burn more calories at a rested state.
2. Youre more likely to burn more energy after a weight session than a cardio session. This is because cardio doesnt cause the same stress to the muscle as does weight training.
Studies show, doing both cardio and weight training burns more calories than cardio on its own.
So keep in your cardio training.
Train weight 3-4 hours per week, cardio 2-3 times per week, and have some sort of active recovery day-walking, light bike run, yoga etc.
