⏰ CLOCK CHANGE ⏰
Honestly, I totally forgot about the clock change on Saturday 🙈 I woke up at 6.30 am (why???) and my mobile phone said it to be 7.30. I found it late enough to get up and make some yoga. In the middle of the sun salutation I got angry with that lazy wall clock as it’s battery was flat again and it showed 6.40 😤 “What’s the matter with that f***ing clock,” I shouted. @morenito.del.norte answered sleepy from the bedroom: “clock change,” he said.
I needed one minute to think and believe him. In the information overload about coronavirus I didn't realize this sweet little news. Am I the only one? 🤔
Later, I read some tweets about clock change and noticed how many people are against daylight saving time. I wonder why. Imagine standard daylight time in summer. In Germany, sun would rise at 4 am. I am used to wake up early, but at 4 I am a freak 🤯 Definitely prefer to have a longer evening after work and stay outside, working in the garden, cleaning the horse stable or having a barbecue with friends down at the lake.
And what would a change to DST in winter mean? I would still start to work when it is dark. However, I would be able to ride my horse after work by daylight. I would be able to go backcountry skiing in the afternoon because I definitely know that this one hour makes the difference to reach the summit by daylight. I would be able to spend at least some more minutes in the sun, which means a plus of Vitamin D 🌞
For me, this hour means the world. Thus, I don't understand why people are against DST.
