This morning’s profile is the voice of reason, towering second row and all round legend Julie Pollock. Just don’t ask her where the 22 is
Name - Julie Pollock
Hometown - Derry-Londonderry
Position - 2nd row, Flanker, also played No8 AND was down to play on the wing for a match😳......thankfully the match was cancelled🙏
Previous clubs - COD is my one and only
Representative honours - none
Earliest rugby memory - Going to my first training session in the wind and rain and thinking what am I doing here😂 but once the session started I absolutely loved it.
Best rugby memory - There are lots, winning the 10's competition and getting tickets to Aviva, that was some trip🤪, playing at Kingspan last year and being awarded players player at the end of a season..... I cried like a baby 🤭
Worst rugby memory - I don't think I have any, I class all memories as a good thing. Disappointed that Kingspan has been cancelled this year due to COVID-19 but we put in a massive effort as a team to get to the final..... There will be another opportunity next year.
Best bit of playing for City of Derry - The diversity of the sport, there is a place for every shape and size on the pitch.
Favourite rugby fancy dress - Hawian theme coming back from Kingspan last year.
Why should someone join City of Derry? I have met so many life long genuine friends who support each other. Its a great way to get fit, socialise and met some. Genuine nice people 😊 #rugby #wrugby #ulsterrugby #cityofderry #greenandblack #derrygirls - 6 minutes ago
