Excited children joined the ribbon cutting to declare Hampshire’s first free school officially open for learning. The £6.7million Boorley Park Primary School has been built to serve a new development at Botley. It was designed and delivered by our award winning Hampshire Property Services and built by Interserve Construction.
Councillor Roz Chadd, Executive Member for Education and Skills, said: “These lucky children are the first through the doors of a school that has been built to serve a brand-new development. As well as fantastic premises for these pioneer pupils and their younger siblings and friends in the future, the opening of this school announces Boorley Park’s arrival on the map as a distinct community in Hampshire. I’m proud of the role that the County Council has played in designing and building this new school, working in partnership with the Wildern Academy Trust.
