Lynnspiration 151: It's the LEAST YOU CAN DO.
You know how some weeks you GO HAM. Well this wasn't that type of week for me, this week I went turkey breast at best🤷🏻♀️. Which is ok, contrary to popular belief in the fitness community you can't always push yourself 110% day in day out (unless you want to burn out, which is 100% a bad time).
But it really got my inner #LazyLynn thinking about what the bare minimum amount of exercise you can do is, to still reap the health benefits. And BRACE yourself it's actually very doable. Research tells us that 150 minutes of moderate or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic exercise plus two strength training sessions is the key. That's it. If we spread that over the week leaving one rest day that it 25 minutes a day.
A.k.a the length of a netflix episode🤯. Maybe at- home workouts while you watch could be the trick for you if you find yourself struggling/ too bored to workout and honestly loads of treadmills now come with built-in screens making it even easier. Even biking when you could've taken the car gets you there. You'd be surprised how little changes add up.
And in return, you'll lower your risk of heart disease improve your flexibility, strength, endurance and odds of surviving a zombie apocalypse.
So yeah, I challenge you this week to do the bare minimum and see if you notice any changes in how you feel physically and or mentally and with that I hope you have a lovely and safe weekend 😘. - 3 minutes ago
