IF YOU’RE NOT SORE YOU DIDN’T TRAIN HARD ENOUGH —
and that statement is absolutely wrong. soreness does not equal a good and effective training, let me repeat that: soreness does NOT equal a good and effective training, most of the time it’s actually a sign that you did too much, especially when your soreness lasts for 2 days or longer.
don’t get me wrong feeling slightly sore once in a while is pretty normal but if you’re sore for a longer amount of time than that and that also pretty frequently you simply did too much.
the best scenario is actually when you’re making progress with your fitness and in the gym without being sore at all. :) so to sum this up: soreness is a terrible sign to measure your progress unless you’re doing too much
if you’re frequently sore and that for longer than 2 days i would recommend to scale back the intensity of your training a bit since you could make much more progress that way :)
